ANTIVIRUS AND ANTI AD-WARE
AntiVirus: There are many AntiVirus programs out there but the one I find the best at its job it "Avast" AntiVirus. The best part is that it is free. They have a few different versions and a few of them are for sale at a very moderate price but I have never used anything but their free version and can say with 100% accuracy that I have never had a problem. Why just today I have been researching a specific computer problem and in order to do so had to visit several sites that are very unreliable. This means that there are a lot of pop ups and hacking attempts. I checked my Avast and in the time I spent online just today it blocked 13 Trojans and 21 other viruses. My computer is still running strong with no deficits. The problem with most computer problems is that to research them you need to visit sites that give you viruses and other problems, one of which could have been the problem you were researching in the first place. The free version of Avast will not fail you. From what I need there really is no need to purchase the other versions of Avast.... Or any other Anvtivirus program for that matter. Anti Adware: There's a lot of people out there who will tell you that you not only need an atnivirus but an anti adware as well. But your in luck. As it turns out, most operating systems have a utility already built in for this very purpose. For Window's users "Window's Defender" is what you are looking for. In my experience if you go to a lot of unreliable sites it won't really always alert you when bad things try to get onto your computer. But this is no problem if you just run a scan whenever you want or feel necessary but you can also setup a schedule for Defender to run whenever you ask tell it to.
I know it sounds simple but running these two program can and will keep you computer virus and ad ware free and running smooth.
